Sidhu Moose Wala’s Mother Charan Kaur Is Pregnant
Sidhu Moose Wala’s Mother Pregnant at 58, Expecting Baby in March
The mother of late Punjabi rapper and singer Sidhu Moose Wala, Charan Kaur, is pregnant at the age of 58, according to a report by Hindustan Times[^1^][1]. She underwent IVF treatment to conceive the baby, who is due in March.
Charan Kaur lost her son, Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moose Wala, in 2022, when he was shot dead by unknown assailants in his hometown of Moosa in Punjab. He was 28 years old, and one of the most successful and influential artists in the Punjabi music industry.
Sidhu Moose Wala’s father, Bhola Singh Sidhu, told Hindustan Times that they decided to have another child to cope with the grief of losing their son. He said that they consulted a doctor in Chandigarh, who suggested IVF as an option. He said that they are happy and excited to welcome the baby, and hope that it will be a boy.
However, pregnancy at such a late age is not without risks and complications. Dr. Anjali Kumar, a senior gynecologist and IVF specialist, told Hindustan Times that women above 50 years of age face higher chances of miscarriage, preterm delivery, gestational diabetes, hypertension, and preeclampsia. She also said that the baby may have chromosomal abnormalities, low birth weight, or congenital defects. She advised that such women should undergo regular antenatal check-ups, blood tests, ultrasounds, and fetal monitoring to ensure a safe and healthy pregnancy.
Sidhu Moose Wala’s fans and followers have expressed mixed reactions to the news of his mother’s pregnancy. Some have congratulated the family and wished them well, while others have criticized them for being selfish and irresponsible. Some have also questioned the ethics and legality of IVF for women above 50 years of age.
Sidhu Moose Wala was known for his rap and hip hop songs, which blended Punjabi folk, pop, and trap genres. He released three studio albums, one extended play, and over a hundred singles in his career. He also acted in a film, Dakuaan Da Munda, based on the life of a former gangster. He won several awards, including the Best Lyricist and the Best Album at the Brit Asia TV Music Awards, and the Best International Male Artist at the PTC Punjabi Music Awards. He also collaborated with international artists like Steel Banglez, Burna Boy, and Divine. He was a voice of a generation, a cultural icon, and a musical genius.
