How this data is collected

The view figure beside each artist is not a chart position, an estimate or a score we assigned. It is the sum of the YouTube view counts of every upload credited to that artist in our catalogue, and the number next to it is how many of those uploads we currently track — the catalogues on this list add up to 4,942 tracked uploads.

Those per-upload counters are read from the official YouTube Data API by a scheduled job that re-reads the catalogue once a day. The artist totals are then recalculated from the uploads rather than added up as they arrive, so a figure that drifts is corrected on the next run instead of compounding. The most recent recalculation for this list finished on 10 September 2026, 18:31.

Because the totals are rebuilt from the uploads each time, an artist's number can fall as well as rise. If a video is deleted, set to private or blocked, its views stop counting and that artist's total drops at the next refresh.

An artist enters this directory when we find credited uploads on an official artist or record-label channel; visitors can also submit an artist, and submissions are reviewed before they appear. Only artists marked active are listed, so a duplicate or merged entry disappears from the count rather than sitting here empty.

The All tab drops the language filter, so every active artist we track is included here — that is why this view is larger than the Punjabi, Hindi and Haryanvi tabs. By contrast the five sort tabs reorder the same 262 artists rather than changing which ones appear.

We host no audio or video ourselves. Every figure here traces back to a YouTube upload published by the artist or their label, and the site embeds YouTube's own player.
