The story of Roadies: Challenges Har Kadam Par
Every long road has a starting point, and for MTV Roadies it was Roadies: Challenges Har Kadam Par in 2003. The first season premiered on 15 August 2003 and ran for 27 episodes, with the finale on 8 November 2003. Cyrus Sahukar was the host, and ten young Indians took part.
The challenge was a long ride on motorbikes from Chennai to Chail, and the whole journey stayed within India. The prize was a bike for every Roadie.
Not everyone lasted the distance. Ignoor Bains was the first Roadie voted out, and Mini Goel was the second. Divya Shukla left the show. Tony Kordolia and Ranjit Bajaj were also among the Roadies who took on the road from Chennai.
At the end, Rannvijay Singha won the season and Natasha Gupta finished as runner-up. The win turned out to be only the beginning for Rannvijay Singha, who stayed with the show for two decades, first as a host and later as a gang leader.
