The story of Roadies Returns
Roadies Returns brought the show back for a second season, running from 21 August 2004 to 12 March 2005 over 30 episodes. Rannvijay Singha, the winner of the first season, took over as host. Ten Roadies signed up for the ride, and the route ran across India from Kolkata to the Wagah border.
The prize on offer was ₹5,00,000 and a bike for every Roadie. Varun Agarwal came third and Shalin Bhanot fourth. Neha Bhatia took fifth place, Aarti Seth sixth and Vinod Rawat seventh.
In the end it came down to Ayushmann Khurrana and Candy Brar. Ayushmann Khurrana won the season and Candy Brar finished as runner-up. The win carries extra weight in hindsight, because Ayushmann Khurrana went on to become a National Award-winning Bollywood actor in the years that followed.
