The story of Roadies 5.0
Roadies 5.0 ran from 28 October 2007 to 13 January 2008 over 20 episodes, with Rannvijay Singha as host. It was the first season to leave India. Fifteen Roadies took on a route through India, Thailand and Malaysia, and the prize was ₹2,30,000.
For a show that had until then stayed on Indian roads, crossing into Thailand and Malaysia meant the journey now spanned three countries. The season also had Shambhavi Sharma, Anmol Singh, Varun, Prabhjot, Vibhor, Ayaz, Sonel, Vikrant and Snehashish. Two Roadies named Ankita also took part, one of them known as Simran.
Ashutosh Kaushik came out on top, with Nihal Nikam as the runner-up. It was a busy year for the winner, because Ashutosh Kaushik also won Bigg Boss 2 in the same year.
