The story of Splitsvilla 3
Splitsvilla 3 ran across 2009 and 2010 and took the villa abroad for the first time, to Pattaya in Thailand. Nikhil Chinapa and Deepti Gujral hosted the 13 episodes, which aired from 19 December 2009 to 13 March 2010, and 20 Splitsvillans took part.
The season had its Kings and Queens. Arjun Kumar Mahendroo was King for episodes 1, 2 and 3, the same episodes for which Pooja Amin was Queen. Mahip Marwaha was King for episodes 4, 5, 6 and 10, Niharika Kareer was Queen for episodes 4, 7 and 8, and Pavitra Punia was Queen for episodes 5, 6 and 10. Ashish Agarwal was King for episodes 7 and 8.
The dumping ran in every direction. Arjun dumped Shivkiran Bajwa, Ruchi Arora and Priyanka Sharma, and Pavitra dumped Raj Kumar and Ramanjot Singh. Niharika dumped Arjun, Sufzal Saleem and Riya Bamniyal, while Vikas Mahendroo dumped Niharika and Monika Maryjane Lalwani. Mahip dumped Nirmal Sandhoo, and Pooja Amin, who dumped Parag Chadda and Pulkit Khanna, left of their own accord. Ashish Agarwal and Hemant Kaur also chose to go.
The finale was full of returns. Parag Chadda, dumped by Pooja, came back in the finale, Kriti Sharma, dumped by Mahip, re-entered in the finale, and Sufzal Saleem returned but lost. Riya Bamniyal, dumped by Niharika, found a way back as well. In the end Parag Chadda and Riya Bamniyal won as the ideal match, with Vikas Mahendroo and Kriti Sharma as the runners-up. Vikas and Riya were King and Queen for episodes 9 and 11.
