The story of Splitsvilla 5
Splitsvilla 5 took the villa into the jungle, at Jim Corbett National Park, under the theme Love Gone Wild. Nikhil Chinapa hosted the 15 episodes, which aired from 7 April to 24 June 2012, and 18 Splitsvillans took part.
The dumping came mostly from three contestants. Shivangini Rajyalaxmi Rana dumped Paras Chhabra, Rishipal Gulati, Saif Mir, Mandakranta Debbarma and Sikander Dhawan, though Shivangini was also dumped by the boys of the villa. Vroon Sharma dumped Akanksha Popli, Vidushi Khanna, Tasneem Sheikh, Avishka Kashyap and Swati Bakshi. Rupa Khurana dumped Aly Goni, Nikhil Nagpal and Rishabh Sinha, the last one over Nitin and Paras. Rishabh Sinha is placed fourth and Vidushi Khanna fifth, while Sikander Dhawan, dumped by Shivangini, sits at the bottom in fifteenth place.
The winners came back from the brink. Paras Chhabra was dumped by Shivangini, and Akanksha Popli was dumped by Vroon, yet both re-entered as wild cards. Rishipal Gulati also returned as a wild card after being dumped by Shivangini, only to be dumped again by Rupa, and Avishka Kashyap re-entered after being dumped by Vroon.
Paras and Akanksha defeated Vroon and Jasmine Avasia in the finale, which meant Akanksha beat the very contestant who had dumped Akanksha. Paras Chhabra, the Ultimate King, and Akanksha Popli, the Ultimate Queen, won as the ideal match. Vroon Sharma and Jasmine Avasia were the runners-up, and Nitin Chauhaan and Rupa Khurana went out in the semi-finale in third place.
