The story of Bigg Boss 13
Bigg Boss 13 began on 29 September 2019 on Colors TV, with Salman Khan hosting and the tagline Bigg Boss Tedha. It was the first season shot in Film City, Mumbai, and is noted as one of the most watched. Twenty-one housemates took part for a ₹40 lakh prize, and the season ran for 141 days over 139 episodes before its finale on 15 February 2020.
The cast included Sidharth Shukla, an actor and model, Asim Riaz, a model, and the Punjabi artists Shehnaaz Gill, a singer and actress, and Himanshi Khurana, a singer and actor. Rashami Desai, Mahira Sharma and Arti Singh were television actresses, Paras Chhabra a television actor and model, and Khesari Lal Yadav a Bhojpuri cinema actor and singer. Shefali Bagga was a journalist and Tehseen Poonawalla a lawyer.
Dalljiet Kaur and Koena Mitra were the first evictions, on days 14 and 15, followed by Abu Malik on day 22 and Siddhartha Dey on day 31. Day 35 was the busiest day of the season. Six wild cards entered: Shefali Jariwala, Arhaan Khan, Vikas Pathak, Himanshi Khurana, Khesari Lal Yadav and Tehseen Poonawalla. The same day, Rashami Desai, Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Shefali Bagga were evicted, and the first two were back by day 39. Vishal Aditya Singh joined as a wild card on day 43.
Tehseen Poonawalla left on day 44, Arhaan Khan on day 49 and Khesari Lal Yadav, evicted by housemates, on day 54. Devoleena Bhattacharjee walked out on day 63. Day 64 brought Madhurima Tuli as a wild card and the re-entry of Shefali Bagga and Arhaan Khan. Paras Chhabra walked out on day 68 and was back on day 75. Himanshi Khurana was evicted by housemates on day 70, the day Vikas Gupta, a producer and season 11 finalist, entered as a guest with the status Proxy of Devoleena. Sidharth Shukla left for hospital on day 71 and came back on day 79.
Vikas Pathak left on day 77, Arhaan Khan on day 92 and Shefali Bagga, evicted by housemates, on day 99. Madhurima Tuli was ejected on day 112, Shefali Jariwala was evicted on day 119, Vishal Aditya Singh on day 133 and Mahira Sharma on day 136. Six housemates reached day 140: Sidharth Shukla won, Asim Riaz was first runner-up, Shehnaaz Gill second, Rashami Desai third and Arti Singh fourth runner-up, with Paras Chhabra walking out as fifth runner-up.
