The story of Bigg Boss 10
Bigg Boss 10 began on 16 October 2016 on Colors TV, hosted by Salman Khan from the Lonavala house. Its tagline was India Isse Apna Hi Ghar Samjho. This was the first edition to include non-celebrity housemates, grouped as the Indiawale. Eighteen housemates took part for a ₹50 lakh prize, and the show ran for 106 days over 105 episodes until its finale on 29 January 2017.
The ordinary-life side of the cast included Manveer Gurjar, a farmer, Lokesh Sharma, a student, Navin Prakash, a teacher, Nitibha Kaul, who worked in marketing at Google, and Priyanka Jagga, a marketing recruiter. The better-known names were Bani Judge, a reality TV star, actress, model and VJ who took part in MTV Roadies in 2006, Lopamudra Raut, a model and beauty queen, and Rohan Mehra and Karan Mehra, television actors. Rahul Dev was a film actor, Gaurav Chopra an actor, Antara Biswas a Bhojpuri actress and Swami Om a social, religious and political leader.
Priyanka Jagga was the first evicted, on day 7, and Akanksha Sharma followed on day 14, then Navin Prakash on day 21, Karan Mehra on day 34 and Lokesh Sharma on day 35. Three wild cards entered on day 42: Sahil Anand, Jason Shah and Elena Kazan. Elena Kazan was evicted on day 48, while Sahil Anand was evicted and Jason Shah walked out on day 56. Rahul Dev went on day 63, Gaurav Chopra on day 77, Nitibha Kaul on day 91, Antara Biswas on day 98 and Rohan Mehra on day 102.
Several housemates kept coming back. Priyanka Jagga came back on day 36, was evicted again on day 56, returned on day 58 and was finally ejected on day 69. Manu Punjabi, a reality TV actor, walked out on day 44 and came back on day 57. Swami Om walked out on day 48, returned on day 50 and was ejected on day 81.
Four housemates stayed until day 105. Manveer Gurjar, one of the Indiawale, won. Bani Judge was first runner-up, Lopamudra Raut second runner-up and Manu Punjabi third runner-up.
