The story of Bigg Boss 6
Bigg Boss 6 began on 7 October 2012 on Colors TV, hosted by Salman Khan from the Lonavala house. Its tagline was Alag Che, a Gujarati phrase, and the prize dropped to ₹50 lakh, half the amount offered in the first five seasons. Nineteen housemates took part, and the season ran for 97 days over 96 episodes, ending with a finale on 12 January 2013.
The cast included Urvashi Dholakia and Aashka Goradia as television actresses, Sayantani Ghosh as a model and actress, Sana Khan as an actress, model and dancer, and Imam Siddique as a fashion stylist and reality television personality. Sapna Bhavnani was a celebrity hairstylist, Navjot Singh Sidhu a former cricketer and Member of Parliament from Amritsar, Sampat Pal Devi a social activist and Aseem Trivedi a political cartoonist. Kashif Qureshi, a martial arts trainer, came in as a non-celebrity. Rajeev Paul and Delnaaz Irani, both in the cast, had separated from their marriage to each other in 2010.
The early exits were Rohin Robert on day 8, Divya Vasudev, evicted by housemates, on day 10, and Kashif Qureshi and Dinesh Lal Yadav on day 14. Sayantani Ghosh went on day 21, and Karishma Kotak walked out on day 23. Aseem Trivedi was evicted on day 28, Navjot Singh Sidhu walked out on day 33, and Sampat Pal Devi was evicted on day 35.
Day 35 also brought a wave of arrivals. Imam Siddique, Vishal Karwal and Mink Brar entered as wild cards, and Dinesh Lal Yadav, a Bhojpuri actor, came back after the day 14 eviction. Karishma Kotak, who had walked out on day 23, returned on day 42. Santosh Shukla joined as another wild card on day 43, the day Imam Siddique was ejected, and Imam Siddique was back on day 45. Mink Brar was evicted on day 63, Santosh Shukla and Dinesh Lal Yadav on day 70, and Vishal Karwal on day 77. Aashka Goradia and Karishma Kotak left on day 84, Sapna Bhavnani on day 91 and Delnaaz Irani on day 95.
Five housemates reached day 98. Urvashi Dholakia won, Imam Siddique, who had entered as a wild card, was first runner-up, and Sana Khan, Niketan Madhok and Rajeev Paul finished second, third and fourth runner-up.
